- Review employment applications and supporting documentation.
- Verify candidate identity, qualifications, certifications, and work history.
- Conduct reference checks with previous employers and professional contacts.
- Perform criminal record, credit, and other background checks as permitted by law.
- Assess screening results and identify potential risks or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential candidate records.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare screening reports and recommendations for hiring managers.
- Liaise with recruitment teams, external screening providers, and regulatory bodies where necessary.
- Support audits and maintain documentation related to vetting activities.
- NQF 6 National Diploma / Advanced Certificate
- Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field (advantageous).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in security screening, vetting, or mining site security.
- Knowledge of mining site access control procedures.
- Familiarity with South African legislation (e.g., POPIA, Labour Relations Act).
- Computer literacy with knowledge of the complete Microsoft package.
- Sound planning, administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
- Successfully undergo polygraph examination before employment and on a regular basis
- No criminal record (Police clearance form if available)
- Must have great communication skills
- Valid certificate of physical fitness
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport is required.
