Position Summary
The Warehouse Controller oversees the storage, inventory control, and distribution of products and supplies. This role ensures that stock levels are accurate, deliveries are properly recorded, and items are distributed efficiently to restaurant or retail locations while maintaining Ladurée’s quality and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits
- Record all incoming and outgoing goods in inventory systems
- Prevent stock shortages or overstocking
Receiving & Dispatch
- Receive and inspect deliveries from suppliers
- Verify product quantity, quality, and expiration dates
- Organize and dispatch products to restaurant locations or departments
- Ensure proper labeling and storage
Warehouse Organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
- Ensure correct storage conditions for food and non-food items
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain delivery records and stock reports
- Track inventory discrepancies and report issues to management
- Work with purchasing and restaurant managers to forecast stock needs
Compliance & Safety
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ensure safe handling and storage of goods
- Comply with company policies and warehouse procedures
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or inventory control experience
- Knowledge of stock management systems
- Basic computer skills (Excel or inventory software)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move goods when necessary
- Good organizational and communication skills
