About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Purchaser to manage purchasing across our manufacturing operations.
You will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, fasteners, and general factory supplies, supporting the production of a range of products including lifestyle and utility trailers.
This role requires someone who can work from requirements such as BOMs, source efficiently, and ensure materials are available to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day purchasing for the factory (materials, components, consumables, and supplies)
- Source and compare pricing across multiple suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply terms
- Place orders and ensure timely delivery to meet production schedules
- Work from Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production requirements
- Identify and source alternative products when items are unavailable
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Track orders and proactively follow up to prevent delays
- Support stock control and planning where required
- Work closely with the stores department to monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal availability and avoiding shortages or overstocking
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 1–3 years’ experience in: Purchasing / buying, or Hardware / industrial / technical sales
- Basic understanding of fasteners, components, or industrial supplies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Advantageous
- Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Experience working with BOMs or technical specifications
- Basic Excel skills

Pay: R10 000,00 – R15 000,00 per month
