We are looking for a Retail Optimization Lead to drive operational excellence across the Retail business through data, digital tools, reporting, and process improvement.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical and solutions-oriented professional who can turn operational challenges into practical, scalable improvements. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and improving dashboards, reporting frameworks, project trackers, and operational tools that support better decision-making across Retail.

The Retail Optimization Lead will work across multiple functions to improve visibility, consistency, compliance, and performance. This includes supporting business projects, optimizing systems and workflows, generating actionable insights from complex data, and helping monitor wet stock alarms and operational exceptions.

This is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong analytical capability, business understanding, and stakeholder management skills with a passion for continuous improvement and digital innovation.


Key Accountabilities


Project and Data Management

  • Lead and support Retail projects by developing digital tools, trackers, and reporting solutions.

  • Manage large and complex datasets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

  • Support the delivery of initiatives that improve operational performance and business effectiveness.

  • Maintain structured reporting and project management processes across Retail activities.


Dashboards, Reporting and Insights

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards to track KPIs, compliance, operational performance, and business trends.

  • Translate large volumes of data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.

  • Produce reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Enable leaders to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities through meaningful data interpretation.


Systems and Document Management

  • Improve digital systems, document control practices, and workflow processes across Retail.

  • Ensure reporting structures, operational documents, and shared information are accurate, accessible, and standardized.

  • Support improved governance and consistency in the way operational information is captured and managed.


Innovation and Digital Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to improve Retail operations through automation, analytics, and digital solutions.

  • Introduce practical tools and system enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

  • Apply coding, analytics, and data science capabilities to streamline processes and support predictive decision-making.


Wet Stock Monitoring and Exception Management

  • Monitor and interpret alarms, trends, and exception reports from wet stock management systems.

  • Highlight risks, anomalies, and operational concerns for timely action.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Compliance, HSE, Operations, and Sales teams to support investigation and risk mitigation.


Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Retail functions to understand operational needs and develop fit-for-purpose tools and reporting solutions.

  • Build strong working relationships across teams to support alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement.


Essential Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.


Advantageous Qualifications

  • Project Management certification.

  • Change Management certification.

  • Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence certification.


Essential Experience and Job Requirements


Required Experience

  • Proven experience in operational excellence, business analysis, data analytics, project management, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience developing dashboards, reporting tools, and digital solutions.

  • Strong experience working with and interpreting large, complex datasets.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional operational or business improvement initiatives.

  • Exposure to wet stock management systems and alarm monitoring would be advantageous.


Technical Skills

  • Coding and analytics capability in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent business intelligence platforms.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including automation and VBA.

  • Knowledge of systems and document management tools such as SharePoint, SAP, Reflexis, or equivalent platforms.
