JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator with experience in utility work and pipe installation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating excavators for trenching, digging, and backfilling in underground utility projects, including watermain, reinforced concrete pipe, sanitary, and sewer installation. Safety, efficiency, and precision are key to this role.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to safely dig trenches and install underground utilities.
- Work with ground crews to ensure proper placement of utilities.
- Assist in back-filling and compacting trenches after pipe installation.
- Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Excavator Operator, or in underground utility construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Knowledge of trench safety and shoring techniques.
