Job Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Logistics Manager / Controller to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations while maintaining strong financial control. This role combines operational logistics management with cost control, budgeting, and performance analysis to ensure efficiency, profitability, and accountability across all logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities Logistics & Operations
- Manage daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and internal departments
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Financial Control & Reporting
- Develop and manage logistics budgets and forecasts
- Track, analyze, and report on logistics costs and variances
- Implement cost-control measures and improve profitability
- Approve and monitor logistics-related expenditures
- Prepare monthly financial and operational performance reports
- Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and cost allocation
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor contracts, service-level agreements, and supplier performance
- Identify risks within the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies
Leadership
- Lead and supervise logistics staff and external partners
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Perform ad hoc duties as required to support logistics operations and business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in logistics, with strong exposure to financial control or cost management
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost analysis
- Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics/software tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and financial accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS, CIMA, or similar)
- Experience in [industry: e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, distribution]
- Advanced Excel or data analysis skills
