About the Role
Adler Tree Service & Landscaping is seeking an experienced and reliable General Foreman to oversee highway maintenance and construction operations in coordination with PennDOT standards. This supervisory role is essential to ensuring our roadwork projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the high-quality standards our company is known for.
As the on-site leader, you’ll manage a dedicated crew, organize day-to-day operations, uphold safety and compliance measures, and serve as the go-to authority for all field-related activities. If you’re a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills and experience in highway construction or maintenance, we want to hear from you.
Position will pay based off Experience
Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Must be available for Storm work / Hurricane relief – Willingness to travel
Driver License is a must and reliable transportation
Foreman for trimming trees for PennDOT on state roads, and clearing bridges and water culverts.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise crews performing highway maintenance, construction, and repair work
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly work assignments in coordination with project managers
- Ensure adherence to all PennDOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
- Monitor work quality and inspect completed tasks for compliance with standards
- Operate and oversee use of heavy equipment, traffic control devices, and safety signage
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and personnel hours
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Provide on-site problem-solving and direction during active projects
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure all crew members are trained and equipped
Qualifications
- Proven experience in highway maintenance or construction supervision (PennDOT experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of PennDOT standards, safety protocols, and work zone regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents
- Valid PA driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor when needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
