Village Nurse (Day Shift) – La Vie Care, Northmed
La Vie Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Village Nurse to join our team at our Northmed facility for the day shift. This role involves providing professional nursing support and promoting the health and well-being of residents within our retirement village environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care and support to village residents
- Conduct routine health assessments and monitor residents’ well-being
- Assist residents with minor medical concerns and coordinate further care when required
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive living environment
Minimum Requirements
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Previous experience in elderly care, retirement villages, or primary healthcare will be advantageous
- Ability to work day shifts and manage resident care effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Professional, reliable, and well-organised
