At Burger King®, great restaurants depend on great equipment. As an Equipment Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the operational excellence of our restaurants by ensuring equipment, facilities, and restaurant systems are operating safely, efficiently, and consistently.
As part of our Facility Maintenance Operations team, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment issues, respond to service requests, and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both guests and restaurant teams. What You’ll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on restaurant equipment, facilities, and building systems to maximize equipment life and operational efficiency
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and foodservice equipment issues
- Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures, safety concerns, and facility improvement opportunities
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, installations, and equipment replacements as needed
- Maintain proficiency with restaurant equipment, facility systems, and maintenance procedures
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and recommendations using company maintenance systems
- Recommend preventative measures to reduce future equipment failures and improve restaurant operations
- Communicate maintenance findings, repair status, and equipment concerns with restaurant management and support teams
- Assist with equipment installations, remodel projects, and emergency maintenance support when required
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency support during off-hours as needed
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use maintenance software, email, and mobile devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and service requests
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and timely completion of assigned tasks
- Experience repairing foodservice, commercial kitchen, or restaurant equipment preferred
- Trade certifications, technical school training, or HVAC certifications are a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

Work Environment
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels depending on equipment and work environment
- Frequent travel between assigned restaurant locations
- Must be able to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders and access rooftops when required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces and around commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform emergency repairs in a variety of environmental conditions
Pay Range
$28.00 – $32.00 per hour
Actual pay varies based on experience, certifications, training, skills, and geographic location. Compensation may vary based on state and local wage requirements and may include additional incentive opportunities where applicable.
