Assistant Store Manager Jobs in Cape Town at Dulux Paints
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Store Assistant to join our team. As a Store Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining store inventory, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and offer assistance.
- Answer questions and provide information about products and services.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner.
- Sales Support:
- Assist in the sales process by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Promote sales and special offers to enhance customer engagement.
- Invoicing on a retail platform software – Xero is currently being used
- Inventory Management:
- Help with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new inventory.
- Ensure shelves are stocked and displays are visually appealing.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with restocking items as needed.
- Store Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the sales floor and stockroom.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Cash Handling:
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Issue receipts and manage cash drawers effectively.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent maths skills
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20kg of paint
- Comfortable moving around the store and assisting customers.
