Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Associate (Heavy Equipment Operator). Whether you’re experienced in warehouse environments or eager to learn new skills, this position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, supportive setting. We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate with experience operating large equipment such as telehandlers, excavators, balers, forklifts, or rotators. This role is hands-on and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to be cross trained in multiple areas of the warehouse operation.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport inventory safely and efficiently.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory.
- Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying shipments against packing lists and preparing items for dispatch.
- Operate heavy equipment including telehandlers, excavators, and balers safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and move and or sort materials within the warehouse and yard
- Sort and process materials with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with general warehouse duties and maintain a clean work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Participate in cross-training across various operational roles
- Ability to work well with others
- Document work details accurately and timely
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy.
- Prior experience operating large equipment (telehandler, excavator required)
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform load & unload tasks safely.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
