Job Purpose:
As a Vessel Interior Designer, you will be a key member of our Design Team. Reporting to Head of Design, you will responsible for creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing interior designs for marine vessels. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a key role in enhancing the comfort and elegance of our vessels’ interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design interior layouts, furnishings, and finishes for marine vessels.
- Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to understand design requirements and constraints.
- Create detailed interior design concepts, including mood boards, sketches, and 3D renderings.
- Select materials, colors, and finishes that meet design objectives and functional requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source interior furnishings and components.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in interior design.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
- Previous experience in marine interior design, preferably in the boatbuilding industry would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, rendering software, and other design tools – especially AutoCAD and Solid Works.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, and furnishings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
