Position Summary
EDJ Service LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Bermuda Grass Maintenance & Turf Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining high-quality turf conditions through proper mowing and overall turf health practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Bermuda grass and commercial or municipal landscape properties.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and care of Bermuda grass turf areas
- Operate commercial mowing and turf maintenance equipment safely and efficiently (reel and rotarymowers)
- Maintain commercial mowing and turf maintenance equipment by performing light maintenance (greasing) and cleaning of machinery
- Transport commercial mowing and turf maintenance equipment safely from jobsite to job site using company work vehicles and trailers
- Complete assigned work orders and maintenance schedules in a timely manner
- Follow all company safety procedures and standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or management
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license — Required
- Ability to work outdoors in South Florida heat and varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Physically able to perform demanding outdoor work for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate and transport commercial mowing equipment with trailers Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Bermuda grass or sports turf maintenance
- Experience operating reel mowers and commercial landscaping equipment
- Experience with athletic field or golf course turf maintenance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay of $16.00 to $20.00, based on experience
- Full-time position
- Paid holidays
- After one year of employment, two weeks of paid vacation during company shutdown
- Benefits available based on company policy
