Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Exterior Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exterior carpentry tasks, including framing, siding installation, and structural work. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and capable of interpreting schematics to execute projects efficiently on construction sites.
Duties
- Perform installation of exterior structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
- Engage in frame carpentry for buildings, decks, and outdoor structures.
- Install and repair siding, roofing elements, and exterior trim to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Conduct water damage restoration on exterior structures to maintain structural integrity.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites, including roofing and masonry teams.
- Ensure all exterior carpentry work meets safety and building code regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Exterior Carpenter with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Strong knowledge of framing, siding installation, and exterior trim work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation to various job sites.
