Sous Chef Jobs in Rosebank at Vertex Talent Group
- Assist the Head Chef with the daily management of kitchen operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and assist with inventory control.
- Minimise food wastage and support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff.
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and special promotions.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained in good working order.
Pay: R12 000,00 – R15 000,00 per month
