Position: Social Auxiliary Worker (Driver)
Report to: Chief Social Worker
Start Date: Immediately
Central Gauteng Mental Health Society is seeking a qualified Social Auxiliary Worker preferably residing in Soweto to support the delivery of Community Based Mental Health under the supervision of a registered Social Worker.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Key duties include conducting educational awareness campaigns on mental health and stigma reduction, assisting with group work and community workshops, maintaining accurate client records, capturing data, and compiling monthly reports.
· The role requires active participation in multi – disciplinary team meetings and collaboration with community stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and opportunities for beneficiaries.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Qualification in Social Auxiliary Work.
· Must be registered with SACSSP, for the current 2026 – 2027.
· Background and an additional 1 years’ experience especially in a mental health field will be added advantage.
· Reasonable computer literacy i.e. ability to navigate around a computer and access email, internet (Microsoft office application).
· Driver’s License and the ability to drive a manual vehicle is compulsory.
