Job Summary
As a Siding Installer at Waunakee Remodeling, you’ll be on the front lines building and upgrading homes with quality workmanship you can be proud of. Working hands‑on under the direction of the Siding Foreman, you’ll install custom residential siding and represent Waunakee Remodeling on every jobsite by treating homeowners with respect and delivering results that go above and beyond.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install various types of residential siding materials according to project specifications.
- Remove old materials and prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary insulation or backing materials before siding installation.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks such as framing, caulking, trim carpentry, or masonry as needed for project completion.
- Follow all safety procedures and jobsite rules to protect yourself, your crew, and homeowners, including proper use of PPE and safe ladder practices, while maintaining a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant jobsite.
- Safely use, maintain, and care for assigned equipment by adhering to tool safety standards, promptly reporting issues, and maintaining required personal tools.
- Represent Waunakee Remodeling with professionalism on every jobsite by treating homeowners with respect and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in the siding industry is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required, and a clean driving record preferred.
- Experience with power tools, saws and metal brakes are preferred.
Work Environment:
- Physical demands are typical to those of construction work. They can demand regularly lifting or moving 50 lbs and up to 90 lbs with assistance. Climbing ladders. Using power and hand tools. And more.
- Working conditions require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. And frequently requires the use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to noise, heights, and hazardous materials.
- The work schedule is typically Monday – Friday starting at 6:30am. End times vary based on job scope and season. Typical work weeks average 30-50 hours per week.
- 95% travel required in and around Dane County. The remaining 5% is on the road or at our Waunakee Warehouse.
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
