Position Overview
The Shop Technician will be responsible for maintenance, organization, and management of equipment and supplies at our shop. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our field teams by ensuring all tools and equipment are in excellent condition and readily available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize shop inventory, including traffic control equipment and tools
- Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs of equipment
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely delivery and return of materials
- Load and unload materials for field teams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in all shop operations
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Shop/Fleet Manager
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented individual and the ability to foster cooperative and diplomatic relationships with other departments, while working collaboratively as part of a team
- Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously, often under direct supervision or independently
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse or similar setting preferred
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Work Environment:
- Ability to life heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
- Work in different temperatures throughout the year
Schedule:
- This role is Monday-Friday 11:00am-8:00pm
