Position Overview

The Shop Technician will be responsible for maintenance, organization, and management of equipment and supplies at our shop. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our field teams by ensuring all tools and equipment are in excellent condition and readily available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize shop inventory, including traffic control equipment and tools
  • Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs of equipment
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely delivery and return of materials
  • Load and unload materials for field teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in all shop operations
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Shop/Fleet Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented individual and the ability to foster cooperative and diplomatic relationships with other departments, while working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously, often under direct supervision or independently
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a shop, warehouse or similar setting preferred
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Work Environment:

  • Ability to life heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
  • Work in different temperatures throughout the year

Schedule:

  • This role is Monday-Friday 11:00am-8:00pm
