About Role
We are looking for three dependable and enthusiastic Shop Assistants who are team players and passionate about providing excellent customer service in our factory shop. The successful candidates will assist customers, maintain a clean and organised store environment, and support daily shop operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare labels, bar codes and prices as per specification and batch them for use
- Assist walk in customers
- Assist at the till when needed
- Do a manual stock take quarterly
- Checking and receiving stock
- Unpack and clean towels and barcodes
- Filling of shelves
- Spot check on stock
- Ensure tidiness and housekeeping is maintained at the shop
- Answer telephone calls
- Ensure that all sales are booked through the Point of Sales system
- Handle all till sales purchases via cash/cards
- Ensure accurate payment is received and accurate change is issued
- Cash up tills at the end of the shift
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Must have at least 1 year’s working experience in the retail environment
