Position – Service Technician
Job Description
As a Service Technician, you are the face of the company for our existing clients. Customers look forward to you arriving at their home or business, knowing that your purpose is to performing a service visit that starts up their fireplace/stove/bbq grill or troubleshoots their unit to get it back to working effectively. You will manage the final hand-off of the newly installed projects and provide ongoing maintenance and repair for our high-end hearth and patio products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commissioning: Clean, set up, and test-fire newly installed products. Install accessories like blower kits, remotes, and decorative doors.
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot electrical systems and gas/wood/pellet components to diagnose malfunctions. Perform precision repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Client Education: Walk homeowners through safe operation and routine maintenance requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain digital/written logs of work orders and take high-quality "success photos" of completed projects.
- Collaboration: Work alongside fellow tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion and site safety.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years as a Service Technician (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficient with power tools and comfortable with diagnostic tools
- Certifications: Clean driving record and a strong safety history are required.
- Education – High School Grad
- Tools: Must possess own basic hand tools.

- Organize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Work in a positive manner and come up with prompt solutions when a problem occurs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 80 lbs and carry it 50 feet is required
- Comfortable working on ladders, roofs (up to 30 ft), and in confined spaces or on hands and knees.
