– Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and smooth team execution.
– This role leads front and back-of-house teams, drives service standards, manages costs, and ensures the business operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with brand expectations. Key Responsibilities – Oversee full daily restaurant operations, including front and back of house. – Lead, motivate, and manage the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service standards. – Ensure a high-quality guest experience by maintaining service excellence and resolving complaints professionally. – Manage staffing levels, rosters, attendance, and labour costs in line with business targets. – Drive revenue performance through service delivery, upselling, promotions, and operational efficiency. – Monitor and control food cost, beverage cost, wastage, and stock management. – Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations. – Maintain operational standards, cleanliness, and presentation across all restaurant areas. – Conduct regular staff training and performance management to improve productivity and service. – Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members. – Analyse weekly and monthly financial reports, including sales, GP, payroll, and P&L. – Work closely with chefs, suppliers, and senior leadership to ensure consistency and profitability. – Manage opening and closing procedures, cash-ups, banking, and daily reporting. – Implement and uphold brand standards, SOPs, and company policies. Job Requirements Experience & Qualifications
– Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume or upmarket hospitality environment. – Proven experience managing full-service restaurant operations. – Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L, budgets, labour control, and cost management. – Experience managing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. – Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, stock control, and service standards. – Experience with staff recruitment, training, and performance management. – Familiarity with POS systems, restaurant reporting, and stock management systems. – Hospitality qualification or relevant tertiary education is advantageous.
