Requirements
- A relevant 4-year tertiary qualification preferably a BTech or
B-Degree in the Geomatics field
- 5 to 8 years relevant experience required
- Computer literacy: MS Office
- A valid drivers’ licence
- Registration with SAGC in a relevant Professional category
Key Performance Areas
- Manage and oversee projects within the Survey section to
initiate compliance with Council’s strategic objectives,
policies, procedures and various legislation.
- To provide accurate and reliable data to ensure efficient
and effective transactions of immovable property to
promote socio-economic development of the communities.
- Supervise and provide consultation services to ensure
efficient service delivery and optimal outcome of projects.
- Ensure effective communication via professional Property
advice and administration to ensure accurate information
gathering and dissemination to all stakeholders.
- Maintain the integrity of Council to represent Council in
Courts of Law and legal processes involving immovable
property.
- Provide support to the GIS section to ensure efficient and
accurate decision making and optimal use of resources.
- Managing research and technology requirements to meet
the demands of the Department to compete with a and
remain abreast of the private sector in the advancement
of technology and provide guidelines for efficient
organisational operation.
- Manage financial control of the Survey section to control
expenditure within the budget’s limits.
- Manage staff of the Survey section via the allocation of
resources and the development of staff within the section
to ensure optimal utilisation of resources and optimisation
of performance.
- Ensure the safety of the section staff under diverse working
conditions and comply with the Occupational Health and
Safety Act (85/1993) and the Compensation for
