About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale the network backbone for a distributed enterprise supporting over 10,000+ users across multiple locations and cloud environments.
You will lead high-impact initiatives spanning SD-WAN, zero-trust security, and hybrid connectivity. This is not a junior troubleshooting role.
You will own routing, switching, firewall architecture, and network resilience for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Architect, deploy, and maintain Cisco/Fortinet routing/switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR) and Fortinet security fabrics (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) · Manage BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and SD-WAN across 20+ sites
· Implement and enforce security policies using Fortinet NGFW, IPS, and VPNs (IPsec/SSL) · Lead root-cause analysis for complex, multi-vendor outages impacting 10k+ users
· Automate network configuration and monitoring using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
· Collaborate with cloud engineers on AWS/Azure hybrid networking (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway)
· Maintain network documentation, capacity plans, and lifecycle management
· Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional infrastructure projects
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Category Requirement
Experience 10+ years in enterprise network engineering, supporting 10,000+ users across distributed locations (multiple sites, regions, or global footprint)
Cisco Certification
CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security (active)
Fortinet Certification
Fortinet NSE 4 (NSE 5, 6, or 7 strongly preferred) Technical Depth Expert in BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, VXLAN, HSRP/VRRP, QoS Firewalls Deep hands-on with FortiGate (policy, NAT, SSL inspection, HA) Troubleshooting Proven ability to lead outage calls and perform packet-level analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
Cloud Networking Experience with VPCs, VPN tunnels, and hybrid cloud routing
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) · NSE 7 (Enterprise Firewall or SD-WAN) ·
Experience with Fortinet Switching and enterprise wireless
