Job Summary
We are looking for a warm, confident and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our team. This role is centred around building genuine connections with customers, understanding their lifestyle needs, and guiding them towards the right products.
The ideal candidate will be highly comfortable on the phone, with a natural ability to engage in friendly, consultative conversations that lead to sales. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for homeware and textiles, and can create a positive and memorable customer experience.
This is a softer sell environment focused on relationship-building rather than hard selling, where success comes from understanding the customer and delivering a personalised experience aligned with the company’s vision of enriching people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, genuine relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Engage with leads over the phone in a warm, conversational and confident manner.
- Understand customer preferences, style and needs to recommend suitable products.
- Deliver a personalised and enjoyable customer experience throughout the sales journey.
- Follow sales and lead tracking processes where required.
- Perform general administrative functions related to sales.
- Stay up to date with products and promotions.
- Be aware of current and upcoming Sales and Marketing campaigns.
- Participate in sales and product training as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support customer needs.
- Take ownership of achieving KPIs and sales targets.
- Consistently work towards delivering on the Pres Les vision of Enriching People’s Lives.
- Be self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a sales or customer-facing role
- Previous retail sales experience (preferably in homeware, bedding or textiles)
- Customer care or call centre experience advantageous
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for service
- Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships
- Target-driven with good organisational skills
- Computer literate with proficiency in email, Excel and WhatsApp for Business
- CRM system experience advantageous
