Job Summary
We are a growing fashion company with five upscale boutiques — The James (women’s clothing & accessories) and Roman James Men (premium men’s clothing with barbershop) — and we’re looking for retail sales associates and experienced fashion stylists to join our men’s store team in Saugatuck, MI!
Responsibilities
The retails sales associate / fashion stylist is responsible for creating visually appealing outfits and looks for customers.
- Client Consultation: Understand clients’ style preferences, body types, and the purpose of styling
- Wardrobe Selection and Outfit Coordination: Choose clothing and accessories, that suit the client’s needs and combining pieces to create flattering, stylish, and cohesive looks
- Trend Research: Stay updated on current fashion trends, designers, and seasonal styles to make informed styling choices
- Customer Service: Operate POS systems for sales transactions, returns and cash handling; address customer inquiries and resolve issues; ensure proper phone etiquette when handling customer calls
- Boutique Operations Support: Support merchandising, maintain tidy sales floor, monitor and clear fitting rooms, and perform inventory checks
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years prior retail work experience, personal shopper or fashion stylist experience preferred
- Fashion Knowledge: Understanding of fabrics, cuts, body types, and color palettes
- Creativity and Aesthetic Sense: Ability to transform simple outfits into compelling ensembles
- Communication and Collaboration: Working effectively with clients and retail teams
- Location: Ability to work in Saugatuck, MI location
- Availability: Available to work weekends and some holidays
