Job Purpose
The Process Operations / Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of plant equipment and machinery to ensure smooth production processes and optimal operational performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery.
- Start, operate, and shut down equipment and machinery according to production schedules and operating procedures.
- Inspect equipment regularly and replace worn or damaged components as required.
- Conduct routine operational checks to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities or operational deviations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and logs.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and colleagues to improve plant performance and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational meetings as required.
Qualifications and Experience – Minimum Requirements
- N3 or N6 Certificate in any Trade.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant operational or plant experience.
Added Advantage
- N6 Process Operations Certificate.
