Pricing Analyst
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng
Job Summary
Oath Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Pricing Analyst within the mining and manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, managing, and optimising pricing structures to support profitability, cost control, and competitive positioning while working closely with Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse supplier pricing, cost breakdowns, and cost drivers
- Monitor price movements, inflation trends, and exchange rate impacts
- Conduct price variance and cost analysis reporting
- Develop pricing models, dashboards, benchmarks, and should-cost models
- Support supplier negotiations with pricing insights and savings scenarios
- Validate supplier quotes, tenders, and pricing adjustments
- Monitor contract pricing, escalations, rebates, and index-linked increases
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing improvements
- Ensure pricing accuracy and data integrity within ERP systems
- Support procurement audits, governance, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Finance teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in: Finance or Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics or Data Analytics
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in procurement price analytics
- Manufacturing or engineering industry experience advantageous
- Strong Excel, reporting, and analytical skills
- ERP system knowledge and proficiency
- Understanding of procurement policies and controls
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
