Financial Administrator: Accounts Payable Jobs in Home Based at PEPKOR Installations

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Financial Administrator is responsible for the accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintenance of comprehensive vendor records, and the efficient execution of financial administrative duties. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to function effectively within a fast-paced finance department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Invoice Management: Receive, review, and accurately process vendor invoices into the financial system.

● Financial Coding & GL Accuracy: Interpret and apply an understanding of financial statements and the company’s Chart of Accounts to ensure all vendor invoices are accurately coded to the correct General Ledger (GL) accounts.

● Billing Accuracy: Execute three-way matching (purchase order, receipt, and invoice) to verify billing accuracy.

● Payment Processing: Prepare and organize documentation for weekly payment cycles; ensure compliance with company financial policies and agreed payment terms.

● Documentation & Filing: Maintain systematic and secure digital and physical Accounts Payable filing archives.

● Financial Reporting & Support: Assist the AP Team Lead and the broader finance team with month-end closing activities.

● Audit & Compliance: Support VAT preparation by ensuring the integrity of supplier transactions and assist with audit preparation and documentation requests.

● General Administration: Manage records of payment confirmations and remittances; support the Finance team with general administrative duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

● Education: Grade 12 Certificate; Diploma in Accounting or Finance.

● Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an Accounts Payable function.

● Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail; high-level proficiency in data entry; strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities

independently.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
