Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Plumbing Supervisor with a strong background in residential plumbing and home service operations. This is not an entry-level role and requires hands-on experience managing plumbing technicians, overseeing field operations, and ensuring service quality in a fast-paced environment.
The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supporting and guiding plumbing technicians, and ensuring efficient coordination between the field, dispatch, and leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of plumbing service calls, job prioritization, technician productivity, and real-time problem solving in the field.
The ideal candidate has prior experience as a lead plumber, field supervisor, or in a similar leadership role within the home services industry. They understand the urgency, logistics, and customer expectations that come with residential plumbing operations. Strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain high service standards under pressure are essential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of plumbing technicians in the field
- Monitor daily schedules and ensure jobs are completed on time and to quality standards
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians
- Conduct ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and ongoing training
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Coordinate with Dispatch to optimize scheduling and job assignments
- Assist in inventory control and ensure technicians are properly stocked
- Handle escalated customer concerns and provide resolution in a professional manner
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of new team members
- Track and report on team performance metrics (productivity, callbacks, revenue, etc.)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of plumbing experience (residential preferred)
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, diagnostics, and repairs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate and develop a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
