Pipe Layer – Underground Utilities Jobs in Churchville, MD at DXI Construction Company
What You’ll Do:
- Install pipe systems:
- Water: C-900, Ductile Iron
- Sewer: DIP, SDR-35, PVC Sch 40
- Storm: RCP, HDPE
- Set line and grade using lasers
- Read plans and cut sheets
- Dig trenches, backfill, and compact to grade
- Lay, align, and connect pipe (PVC and ductile iron)
- Install restraints, manholes, and fittings
- Perform taps, drills, and pipe repairs
- Work in trench boxes and use shoring systems
- Signal equipment operators and support crew as needed
What You Need:
- Proven pipe laying experience (DIP, PVC, PE)
- Experience passing hydro tests
- Ability to set up and use lasers
- Solid understanding of trench safety and shoring
- Ability to read construction plans
Work Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation and travel to job sites
- Able to work full days in all weather conditions
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in trenches and confined spaces
- Safety-focused and team-oriented

Pay: $26.92 – $32.43 per hour
