Job Summary
We’re seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a skilled nursing facility in Turlock, CA. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and neurological conditions
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy under supervision to promote mobility and pain relief
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in medical records
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transitions to home or other care settings
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal recovery outcomes
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state licensure requirements
- Experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics or home health environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with care plans, discharge procedures, and documentation standards for acute care and outpatient services
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients and coordinate with healthcare teams effectively
Pay: $40.00 – $43.00 per hour
