Payroll Administrator Jobs in Centurion at Medwell SA

Medwell is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team based in Centurion. The successful candidate will initially be based at our facility in Benoni for a period of three months to complete training, after which they will relocate to our Centurion office on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll administration while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives under pressure, and has excellent attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Payroll Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing within an HR environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of payroll systems will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Process the monthly payroll for approximately 600 employees
  • Maintain and update employee information on the payroll system
  • Capture and onboard new employees
  • Process employee terminations
  • Prepare timesheets for various facilities
  • Process timesheets accurately and within payroll deadlines
  • Respond to and resolve salary-related queries
  • Assist with other payroll and administrative duties as required
  • Prepare UIF documentation
  • Employment confirmations
  • Maternity leave documents
  • Registration and administration of Injuries on Duty (IOD) claims
  • Ensure payroll and HR records are accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Provide general payroll and HR support as required

Please note that responsibilities may change from time to time in line with operational requirements.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:00am to 16:00pm

Salary: R18 000.00 to R20 000.00 per month

N.B: The successful candidate will initially be based at our facility in Benoni for a period of three months to complete training, after which they will relocate to our Centurion office on a permanent basis.
