POSITION TITLE (Full-Time)
Overnight Bilingual Certified Recovery Support Services (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRS)
QUALIFICATION:
- Certified Recovery Support Services (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRS) credential required
- Must be willing to maintain CRSS or CPRS certificate as part of employment
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Candidates must have life experience as a consumer of mental health services and should be willing to share their recovery experience to inspire hope and change in others
- Experience in crisis intervention
- Interest and desire to work and contribute to the development and maintenance of a consumer-driven Living Room
- Ability to interact with staff and participants, fostering the development of a warm and friendly atmosphere
- Skills and interest in the development of activities designed to help others enjoy the time they spend in the Living Room and develop skills for recovery and resilience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Living Room Hours are 24/7. This shift seeks employees available for the 9pm-9am shift and the hours are spread out from Mon-Sun, weekends required. Holidays are rotated among staff and are mandatory.
- Computer skills, including teleservices (i.e. ZOOM, Webex)
REPORTS TO:
Living Room Supervisors
Director of Mental Health
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and welcome those attending The Living Room
Provide other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of The Living Room
Adhere to federal and state regulations and all Agency policies and procedures
Complete documentation on Agency EMR
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Provide Recovery Support, Advocacy, and Mentorship to Living Room guests
- Facilitate the accurate reporting of guest attendance
- Provide crisis de-escalation to guests in crisis
- Help to provide refreshments and coffee for LLR guests
- Help to engage guests/customers who appear to be isolated
- Be aware of group tensions. Diffuse tensions as appropriate or ask for support from other staff
- Discuss any areas of conflict with LR Coordinator
- Facilitate daily clean up and sanitizing
- Provide ideas and feedback to help LR programs grow and adapt to guest/customer and community needs
- Attend team meetings and required trainings
- Other duties as assigned

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires safely lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis, for example movement of materials, files, or texts.
- Regular requirement to stand, and sit for long periods of time, with some walking, occasional bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
- Driving around clients is required. Adequate car insurance needed.
