Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and other confections according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with attention to detail, ensuring attractive presentation.
- Package baked items carefully for retail sale or delivery, maintaining product freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times precisely to ensure consistent results.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages promptly.
- Support food handling procedures by following proper sanitation practices during all stages of food preparation.
Skills
- Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food production is highly desirable.
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and knives safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks during overnight shifts.
