Founded in 2025 by Dr. Shehzad Batliwala (known publicly as Dr Shehz), we’re early, ambitious, and selective about who joins us.

The Role

We’re hiring an Optometry & Physician Liaison to build and steward our co-management network across North Texas.

Co-management isn’t a marketing channel for us — it’s a clinical partnership. Optometrists who refer to us are trusting our surgical hands and a shared post-op protocol. Your job is to make that partnership feel as professional, communicative, and clinically rigorous as it should be.

You’ll be the face of Visionary Eye in OD offices across DFW. You’ll know our nomograms. You’ll explain why SMILE is reshaping the refractive conversation, why EVO ICL is the right tool for the right patient, and why premium IOLs in our hands deliver outcomes that justify the price tag. You’ll bring CE-quality education to OD partners — not bagel drops.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and steward relationships with 50+ optometrists across DFW
  • Visit OD offices weekly — in person, with clinical substance, with purpose
  • Plan and host quarterly CE events, dinner education programs, and observation days
  • Onboard new OD partners using our co-management handbook and shared post-op protocols
  • Track referrals, surgical outcomes, and partner satisfaction in our CRM
  • Represent Visionary Eye at regional optometry conferences and chapter meetings
  • Coordinate with Dr. Batliwala on case reviews, partner clinical questions, and complex referrals
  • Maintain strict compliance with federal anti-kickback, Stark, and state co-management guardrails

Who You Are

This role isn’t for someone breaking into medical sales. It’s for someone who already speaks the language.

  • 5+ years in refractive surgery, ophthalmology, optometry, or related industry (device/pharma reps welcomed if you’ve called on ODs)
  • Existing relationships with North Texas optometrists strongly preferred
  • Clinical fluency: you can talk LASIK vs. SMILE vs. PRK vs. EVO ICL vs. RLE without notes
  • Comfortable in clinical settings, with surgeons, at conferences, and at the dinner table
  • Self-directed — you build your week, no one else does
  • High taste — you understand boutique premium is a different posture than generic medical sales, and you carry yourself accordingly

Bonus points:

  • Background as an OD practice manager, surgical coordinator, refractive counselor, or industry rep
  • ABO or COA certification
  • Existing network in DFW ophthalmology / optometry
  • Experience with CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, or refractive-specific platforms

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base: Up to $110,000, commensurate with experience and existing network
  • Performance incentive: quarterly bonus tied to qualified surgical referrals
  • Mileage, CE allowance, event/entertainment budget
