National Key Account Manager Jobs in Killarney Gardens at Millennium Foods
Reporting to: Category Executive
Location: Killarney Gardens, Cape Town
Purpose of the role:
To profitably grow the product portfolio across selected top-end retailers and food channels, including Shoprite/Checkers, through effective account management, strategic planning, and the delivery of sales, distribution, and category growth objectives.
Key Performance Indicators for this role (including but not limited to):
Business Growth
− Achieve volume, value and pricing targets for customer accounts on a regional level
− Develop and implement sales and customer growth plans, strategies and action plans
− Together with supply chain/ operations, ensure optimum stock availability
− To maximise on-shelf availability and visibility
− Develop and agree strategic business objectives
− Develop and implement customer growth plans
− Develop and implement category growth plans
− Develop customer and sales activity plans
− Monitor and execute promotional plans
− Build and grow market shares by leveraging till sales data
− Monitor competitor activity
− Manage customer account profitability
New Business
− Identify new growth opportunities in Retail, Foodservice, and other channels and customers
− Assist NPD with new product development projects and launch of new products
Customer Satisfaction and Retention
− Build on and grow existing customer relationships
− Conduct customer reviews at all levels
− Develop and manage customer relationships
Reporting
− Communicate customer strategy and activity plans to sales force/sales agents
− Ensure regular sales forecasting in conjunction with Supply Chain / Logistics
− Measure and review and communicate sales/targets and distribution agent’s performance/manage outsourced
sales agents
Required Qualifications and Experience:
− Relevant tertiary qualification
− Computer literacy, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and
PowerPoint)
− Minimum 5 years relevant experience in FMCG environment
− Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience within a similar National role
− Shoprite National account management experience will be preferred
− Experience within perishables trading environment
