Class 1 Autosports is an automotive shop serving the local community and surrounding areas for over 25 years. The shop specializes in automotive accessory installation, including car audio and sound systems, remote starters, lift kits and accessories, and rims and tires. Its team positions itself as certified installers focused on quality work and fair pricing.
About the Role
We’re seeking an Automotive Electronics & Accessories Technician to join the team. This is a hands-on, precision-driven role for someone who takes pride in clean installs, proper wiring, and professional-level workmanship.
You will work on a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, and specialty builds. This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive electrical and mechanical knowledge who is comfortable installing electronics, troubleshooting wiring, and outfitting trucks with aftermarket accessories. Experience with window tinting is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Install car audio systems, speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, head units, Apple CarPlay systems, Bluetooth systems, and related components
- Install remote starters, alarms, lighting, and other 12-volt automotive electronics
- Perform clean, organized, and reliable automotive wiring installations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, wiring, and accessory-related issues
- Install truck accessories including light bars, bumpers, side steps, roof racks/cages, and related upgrades
- Perform accessory mounting, fitment, wiring, and final system testing
- Assist with mechanical installation work related to aftermarket upgrades and vehicle accessories
- Window tint installation
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and cleanliness
- Keep work areas, tools, and installation bays organized and professional
- Document work completed and communicate clearly with management regarding progress and any issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of PROFESSIONAL experience in automotive electronics, 12-volt installation, or aftermarket accessory installation, and window tinting .
- Strong knowledge of automotive wiring, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
- Experience installing remote starts, audio systems, lighting, and aftermarket accessories
- Mechanical knowledge and hands-on installation ability
- Experience working on trucks, SUVs, and custom vehicle builds
- PROFESSIONAL Window tinting experience
- Ability to produce clean, professional installations
- Must be detail-oriented and take pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
