Experienced Field Service Technician – Molenaar Industrial Technologies

Join our established MIT business as an Experienced Field Service Technician for our Videojet equipment and become a key player in maintaining the operational excellence of our Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) clients. We are seeking a technically proficient and self-motivated individual to manage the service and support of our high-quality industrial coding and labelling equipment.

This is a full-time, high-impact position available at our JHB office in Linbro Business Park.

Key Responsibilities

As an experienced technician, you will be primarily responsible for:

• Independent maintenance and service of industrial coding and labelling equipment (e.g., Continuous Inkjet, Thermal Transfer Overprinting, Laser Coders) used for batch and date coding onto FMCG goods.
• Proactive preventative maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and system reliability for key client production lines.
• Advanced fault-finding and complex diagnostics on electro-mechanical systems with an emphasis on electronics.
• Installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery.
• Providing technical guidance and training to client personnel on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Timely and professional completion of detailed service reports and documentation.

What We Require

We are seeking a highly capable, self-motivated, and energetic technician ready to hit the ground running.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably working with industrial printing, coding, or labelling equipment (e.g., Domino, Linx, Markem-Imaje, Videojet, Ricoh or Nashua experience).
• Proven technical background with a strong affinity for electronics.
• Minimum N3 or Grade 12 (Technical Matric would be an advantage).
• A Valid Driver’s license is essential for extensive travel to client sites.
• Industry expertise in problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Be willing to work after hours when required for emergency breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including standby
• Willing to travel locally, nationally and internationally.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) for professional client interaction.
• High level of computer literacy (proficient in MS Word, Excel for reporting and documentation).
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• IT Skills: Install/connect hardware devices, set up of basic network, understand network connections and how to perform fault-finding and troubleshooting.
