Job Summary
READCORP INC, a recognized leader in the Northeast Pennsylvania home improvement space, is seeking a skilled, versatile, and highly motivated Professional Handyman to join our growing team. Operating out of our Old Forge headquarters, READCORP INC is the proud parent company of NEPA Cleaning Pros, NEPA Roofing Pros, and NEPA Painting Pros.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between our specialized divisions, handling a diverse range of residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and light remodeling tasks. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who possesses strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering the high-quality craftsmanship our NEPA clients expect.
Core Responsibilities
- General Repairs & Maintenance: Perform a wide variety of home repairs including drywall patching, painting, light carpentry (trim, molding, doors), deck and fence repairs, and hardware installation (locks, handles, blinds).
- Cross-Divisional Support: Work collaboratively with our specialized brands. Assist NEPA Painting Pros with pre-paint surface prep (sanding, caulking, minor woodwork repairs) and NEPA Roofing Pros with minor flashing, gutter adjustments, or fascia repairs.
- Basic Plumbing & Electrical: Handle minor, non-licensed plumbing and electrical tasks such as replacing faucets, fixing running toilets, installing light fixtures, ceiling fans, or replacing outlets/switches.
- Flooring & Tiling: Assist with minor flooring repairs or installations (laminate, vinyl plank) and minor tile backsplash or grout repairs.
- Customer Service Excellence: Represent READCORP INC professionally on job sites across NEPA. Clearly communicate with homeowners and business owners to explain repairs, answer questions, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Adhere to OSHA safety standards and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Vehicle & Tool Management: Keep company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained. Inform management of material or supply needs ahead of scheduled jobs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in property maintenance, general carpentry, remodeling, or a related handyman role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using a wide range of hand and power tools. Broad knowledge of basic residential building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing).
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities—you can walk onto a job site, figure out why something isn’t working, and fix it efficiently.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces (crawlspaces/attics), and stand/kneel for extended periods.
- License & Background: Must possess a valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills, punctuality, a clean appearance, and a respectful attitude toward clients and team members.

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
