Local Driver/Warehouse – Class A CDL position – Home Daily Jobs in Peoria, IL at Mobile Maxx
We are a well-established, Peoria based company, and are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers to join our delivery team with a current CDL Class A license. This is a local driving position making most deliveries within a 100 mile radius of Peoria to commercial and residential locations. You will be home every night. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment on a flatbed safely and efficiently to various destinations throughout Central Illinois. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving and backing skills. You will handle different types of trucks and trailers, and may be required to operate a forklift at our Peoria facility for loading and unloading own truck.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a truck on designated routes for deliveries.
- Load and unload equipment from flatbed, ensuring proper handling and securement of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the truck.
- Willingness to perform other non-driving duties as needed.Qualifications
- Must have a Class A CDL
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
- Proven experience in truck driving or as a delivery driver.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools.
- Experience with roll-back or dumpster trucks is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques for different cargo types.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
