Role Overview
We are looking for a Lab & Testing Coordinator to manage the end-to-end process of third-party product testing, from sample selection and dispatch through to result verification and batch reconciliation. This role ensures that the testing process is controlled, documented, and that results are accurately cross-referenced against production batches. Sample integrity is the foundation of the testing process, candidates must treat chain-of-custody as a non-negotiable operational standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the selection, packaging, and dispatch of test samples to accredited third-party laboratories
- Maintain chain-of-custody documentation for all samples submitted for testing
- Track testing schedules and ensure results are received within required timelines
- Verify lab reports and cross-reference results against production batch records
- Flag discrepancies between test results and production specifications to the QA/QC Director
- Maintain testing archives, including certificates, reports, and laboratory correspondence
- Liaise with accredited laboratories domestically and internationally
- Support the Technical Compliance Specialist with testing logistics as required
Requirements
- Background in laboratory coordination, testing administration, or quality compliance
- Experience managing sample chain-of-custody and third-party testing processes
- Familiarity with accredited testing laboratory procedures and documentation requirements
- Strong organisational and tracking skills
- Ability to identify and escalate discrepancies between test results and production claims
- Experience in a manufacturing, regulated industry, or government procurement environment preferred
Additional Notes
Travel to testing facilities is required as needed.
This role is based in South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to travel to and deploy at international manufacturing sites as directed. Travel, accommodation, and deployment costs are covered by the employer.
Pay: R20 000,00 – R40 000,00 per month
