Job Title: Junior Amazon Designer

Reporting to: Amazon Marketplace Manager & Creative Content Manager

Role: Full-Time, 3-Month Fixed Term Contract (30-Day Written Notice Period). Based on performance and contribution, there is the opportunity for a long-term partnership.

Contract terms: An agreed monthly fixed invoice to be submitted to the employer. Leave days are deductible from the invoice amount based on full-time hours worked.

Equipment: Own laptop required (type and design capabilities to be confirmed on application)

Job Description

The Junior Amazon Designer role has been created to support continued growth across Amazon UK, US, and CA by delivering high-converting creative assets across both paid and organic placements. The role will take ownership of Amazon design, creative, and branding initiatives across multiple international marketplaces. This includes Above-the-Fold (ATF) and Below-the-Fold (BTF) product detail page listing imagery, including main listing images, image carousels and A+ content, as well as Amazon brand store layout & design, promotional creative, basic video editing and content, and asset uploading.

Success in the role will be measured through contribution to conversion rate improvement, creative output, promotional execution, and the ability to continuously optimise customer-facing content through testing, analysis, and iteration.

This is a hands-on, execution-led role with significant ownership and the opportunity to play a key part in Woolroom’s next phase of marketplace growth.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end execution of creative work across US, UK, and CA marketplaces in line with quarterly strategic goals
  • Above-the-Fold (ATF) and Below-the-Fold (BTF) product detail page placement designs, including listing image carousels, video briefing/uploads, A+ Content, and Brand Store optimisation
  • Amazon asset library management & organisation
  • Designing, uploading, and ensuring compliance for all key promotional period creative assets
  • Flawless, on-time execution of promotional creative across all marketplaces
  • Maintaining holistic marketing messaging and brand visual guidelines aligned with the website and social media channels
  • Ensuring cohesive visual storytelling across all customer touchpoints
  • Continuous mobile and desktop creative optimisation and A/B testing
  • Implementing design solutions to proactively keep product return rates healthy and below target
  • Driving higher Click-Through Rates (CTR) and Conversion Rates (CVR) across mobile and desktop

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, ecommerce design, digital marketing design, or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva
  • Experience creating digital assets for websites, such as ecommerce platforms, social media, or online advertising
  • Demonstrate an understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and customer-focused design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to deadline
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating creative based on performance or stakeholder input

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Intermediate copywriting skills
  • Experience creating Amazon or other marketplace-based creative assets
  • Experience with Asana, Figma, or other collaborative project tools
  • Basic video editing or motion design experience
  • Understanding of conversion-focused design principles
  • Experience working with ecommerce, retail, or consumer brands
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative and image-generation tools

Interview & Hiring Process

Recruitment is launching June 2026, with the aim of securing the final hire by the end of June. This accommodates a standard 30-day notice period ahead of the 3 August 2026 start date. This is subject to change based on the right candidate’s availability.

If your initial application is successful, you will be invited to an interview. We are aiming to provide you with feedback on your application within two weeks of submission.

  • Phase 1: Initial screening interview with the Amazon Marketplace Manager
  • Phase 2: Successful candidates will be given a practical design task, followed by a final interview with the Creative Content Manager and Managing Director of Woolroom, covering a review of the design task and creative rationale.

Start date: Monday, 3 August 2026, or based on the right candidate’s earliest availability.

This role offers a clear pathway to increased responsibility as Woolroom’s marketplace presence grows. Over the first two months, success will be measured by visible impact across these key KPIs across all marketplaces:

  • Conversion Rate (CVR) performance across desktop and mobile
  • Design project turnaround times and output volume
  • Flawless, on-time execution of promotional creative and uploads
  • Impact on product return rate percentages via clear visual communication
  • Improve paid advertising efficiency through high-converting visuals.

A formal two month review will assess progress against agreed objectives and deliverables, with the position to extend contract and nurture a long-term business relationship with continued partnership growth based on performance and contribution.
