Hotel Sales Manager – Events & Groups
We are seeking an experienced Hotel Sales Manager with a strong background in events, group bookings, corporate accounts, weddings, meetings, and social functions.
The ideal candidate must understand how to generate hotel revenue through group sales, event sales, local business relationships, and consistent follow-up. This position requires someone who can prospect, close business, coordinate with hotel operations, and help ensure every event and group stay is handled professionally.
Responsibilities include:
Developing group, event, corporate, and local account business.
Selling meeting rooms, banquet space, room blocks, weddings, and social events.
Building relationships with local companies, organizations, associations, schools, churches, and event planners.
Preparing proposals, contracts, and follow-up communication.
Coordinating with front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams.
Tracking leads, lost business, booked business, and sales activity.
Helping increase occupancy, banquet revenue, and repeat business.
Requirements:
Prior hotel sales experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with events, groups, meetings, or banquet sales is highly preferred.
Must be professional, organized, outgoing, and comfortable making calls and visiting local businesses.
Strong communication and follow-up skills are required.
Must be performance-driven and able to meet measurable sales goals.
Compensation: Pay depends on proven prior experience, sales performance, and measurable results, including booked group room nights, event revenue, corporate accounts, lead conversion, and client satisfaction.
