Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper food handling procedures, including safe storage, sanitation, and temperature controls.
- Support menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and uphold high standards of presentation.
- Monitor cooking times and adjust heat levels to achieve optimal results for each dish.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating strong food preparation skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and cooking methods specific to grilling.
