Job Overview
The Storage Facilities Assistant/Office Assistant plays a crucial role in customer relations, sales, processing payments and maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities. This position involves supporting various administrative and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and assisting in the completion of facility-related tasks. The ideal candidate will learn to possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with excellent organizational skills to support the overall functionality of our organization.
Duties
- Leasing, sales and customer service.
- Assist with coordinating general facility maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support financial operations including accounts payable and receivables
- RentManager software knowledge helpful but not required
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions while adhering to GAAP standards.
- Bookkeeping portion will help support our management team with various related tasks.
- Verify all deposits and attach them to software
- Assist Operations Manager and Accounts Payable/Sales Manager in multiple tasks
- Must be organized and extremely detailed oriented
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as travel to 4 different office sites is required with Saturday schedules a must
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to work as part of our team
- Solid computer knowledge of Excel
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and organize schedule and work without supervision
- Requires the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to stand or walk the property, transport/lift or move up to 35 lbs., open rollup doors, climb stairs and be able to spend up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments.
- Clean offices and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
- We have Full-Time Schedules depending on location either 8:00 am-5:00 pm or 9:00 am-6:00 pm weekdays (Saturdays 9:00 am- 4:00 pm) One Saturday off each month depending on other schedules
Skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting necessary
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated during slower times of the month.
- Strong communication skills utilized in customer service. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can contribute positively to our team.
