Primary Duties

  • Install flooring materials including LVP, laminate, engineered wood, hardwood, carpet, sheet vinyl, and tile as applicable.
  • Remove and dispose of existing flooring, underlayment, trim, transitions, and related materials.
  • Inspect and prepare subfloors, including minor leveling, patching, fastening, and moisture-related concerns.
  • Install baseboards, shoe molding, transitions, stair nosings, and finish details as needed.
  • Follow manufacturer installation requirements and Coastal Restoration quality standards.
  • Protect customer property, finished surfaces, cabinets, walls, and adjacent work areas.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site during and after each workday.
  • Communicate daily progress, material needs, site issues, and schedule impacts to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and report hidden damage, moisture concerns, subfloor problems, or scope changes before proceeding.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize flooring materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Work professionally around customers, team members, subcontractors, and insurance-related project stakeholders.
  • Assist with general reconstruction tasks when flooring work is not the primary need.

Desired Qualifications

  • Drug free – No criminal background – Valid Drivers License
  • Prior flooring installation experience required.
  • Ability to read basic scopes, measurements, work orders, and installation instructions.
  • Knowledge of subfloor preparation, layout, cuts, transitions, and finish details.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift materials, work on knees, use power tools, and perform physically demanding construction work.
