Fleet Tyre controller Jobs in Parow at HG Travelling Services
The tyre controller must specialize in installing, balancing and repairing tyres for passenger busses of varying sizes. The tyre controller needs to be able to work independently and according to a shift system. They are responsible for installing tyres on their vehicles. Therefore, they need to know how to use various types of automotive equipment to place tyres on vehicles safely and efficiently. Accurate record keeping of rotation and replacements must be kept. The tyre controller needs to be knowledgeable about vehicle repairs and tyre installations on various vehicles. They also need to have excellent communication skills to discuss fleet needs and provide the right products. Their main responsibilities include:
- Inspecting and assessing tyre tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall health
- Recommending and applying appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tyres
- Inspect tyres on vehicles before and after installation
- Perform tyre rotations, balancing and other maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop
- Provide excellent customer service
- Proven work experience as a Tyre Technician or similar role.
- Professional experience removing and installing tyres preferred
- Team player to work with other team members
- Attention to detail to install tyres properly
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Drivers License for code 8 and code 14 vehicle is required
