Financial Reporting Manager

Purpose of the Role

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of Hulamin’s statutory financial reporting processes. The role provides technical leadership on IFRS and financial reporting matters, oversees the monthly, interim and annual reporting cycles, and drives strong financial governance, compliance and continuous improvement while leading a high-performing reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the statutory monthly, interim and annual financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and JSE reporting requirements.
• Manage the Group consolidation process and reporting timetable.
• Provide technical accounting leadership, including IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Oversee statutory reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Build strong relationships with auditors and lead the resolution of audit findings.
• Develop, coach and lead a high-performing Financial Reporting team.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting systems, controls and governance.

Minimum Requirements

• CA(SA) qualification and registration with SAICA or equivalent
• 3–5 years’ post-articles financial reporting experience, preferably within a JSE-listed or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, monthly financial reporting and IFRS compliance.
• Previous leadership experience within a finance function.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
