The Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience in a luxury bespoke tailoring environment. This role involves personalised client service, accurate measurements, product knowledge, sales performance, and ensuring smooth coordination of fittings, alterations, and garment collections.
Key Responsibilities1. Customer Service & Sales
- Provide a premium, personalised customer experience aligned with the brand’s luxury standards.
- Greet customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable garments, fabrics, and tailoring options.
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of suits, shirts, fabrics, styles, and tailoring processes.
- Upsell and cross-sell accessories and additional garments.
- Process card and cash payments accurately.
Measurements & Fittings
- Take accurate body measurements for bespoke and tailored garments.
- Assist customers during fittings and ensure correct garment adjustments.
- Complete measurement forms and alteration notes clearly and accurately.
- Communicate with the tailor/warehouse regarding alterations and garment readiness.
Store Operations
- Arrive 10 minutes before store opening and ensure the store is ready for trade.
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock presentation, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure garments are steamed, tagged, and displayed correctly.
- Handle customer collections and ensure items are checked before handover.
Professional Conduct
- Maintain a professional appearance in line with the brand’s dress code.
- Provide honest, respectful, and solution‑driven communication with customers and colleagues.
- Follow company policies on attendance, punctuality, and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum 1–2 years retail sales experience (luxury or tailoring experience preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to take accurate measurements (training provided if needed).
- Ability to work mall retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Clear criminal record.
- Professional, well‑spoken, and confident.
