Farm Worker/Field Hand Job DescriptionJob Summary
We are seeking hardworking, reliable Field Hands to join our farm team. Field Hands will assist with planting, trellissing, cultivating, harvesting, and general maintenance of plants and fields. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a productive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, transplanting, and harvesting crops
- Perform field maintenance, including weeding, pruning, and trellising
- Operate basic farm equipment and hand tools
- Carry out irrigation setup, maintenance, and watering tasks
- Assist with harvest and post-harvest handling of product
- Follow all farm safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Maintain clean work areas, tools, and equipment
- Identify and report pests, disease, and irrigation issues promptly
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Other general farm labor tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior farm, nursery, or landscaping experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions as well as extended hours during peak seasons
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of farm tools and equipment is a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
